“My meal at Oriental City was one of the best Chinese dining experiences I’ve had in Amsterdam. The location is convenient, the dining area is spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered dim sum, lamb stone pot, char siu buns, Yangzhou fried rice, and stir-fried beef with rice noodles. The dim sum was delicate and well-made, especially the shrimp dumplings. The char siu buns were soft with a well-balanced filling. The lamb was a highlight — rich, flavourful broth and tender. The beef noodles had great wok flavour with tender beef. Overall, very authentic Cantonese flavours. “High price due to the location. The portion is sufficient. I found the skin of the dumplings / hakaw was a bit too thick and the crispy fried buns were soaked in oil and very soft”

“This is my second time here because I was so impressed with the last time I had lunch here. I remembered amazing food with very good price as well as perfect service and restaurant location as well. However, this time, I’d have to rate it 4/5 since all my dishes this evening were very salty. They still tasted good but very salty (no idea why). Portion size here is awesome, never disappoint. I’d recommend not going after 8pm because all the good dimsum dishes were not for sale anymore. I still enjoyed it, just not like the first time I had it. We spent 165€ including tips for 3 with 7 dishes total and 3 drinks.”
